1) What brought you to Hong Kong?
I came to Hong Kong for a short-term work project - to open the first-ever pop-up store of Love, Bonito, a Singaporean women’s clothing brand, in Hong Kong.
2) Where is your favourite place in Hong Kong?
My favourite place in Hong Kong is the communal area at The Nate! Since my company doesn’t have an office in Hong Kong at the moment, I’m using the communal area to do my work and sometimes to have meetings. The interior design is nice and the view is amazing so I often find myself more productive there. I am also meeting many new friends there. The communal area got a nice chill vibe where everyone just wants to hang out there.
3) Who is your style icon in Hong Kong?
I don’t have ONE specific name but I find the style of fashion influencers in Hong Kong very interesting, bold and show strong personalities.
4) What are the things you like working on in the fashion industry?
I like working in fashion because it’s a dynamic, always-evolving industry. The changing trends/ customer behaviours/ technology make the day-to-day job more exciting because there’s always some new challenges. I also like the storytelling portion of the job. Fashion is more than just clothes and accessories, it’s also about the story behind the brand and the value it represents.
5) Any tips for making the most out of not-the-trend fashion?
I will suggest to donate or recycle the items that you no longer need!
